What The Friday?!

The other day, I put LB down for her nap...She was talking for awhile.{I heard her in the monitor}after 30 minutes, I decided that maybe I would go check on her.........somehow, the lid of her bottle had come off and she had dumpedGOAT'S MILK EVERYWHERE!what the friday?!
{at least she was having fun???}

Also, this week.{was it the same day as the milk incident??}I was making eggs for LB, and I put a little pepper on them...When I went to get the pepper out, I dropped it.

(I did not use a cutting board and measuring cup for the eggs - fyi)

all over the floor and on her 'cleaning rag.'
LB and I were both sneezing quite a bit that day.what the friday?!

Pinteresting Things I've Done

I've made quite a few dishes that I found on Pinterest recently.

I, unfortunately, did not take a photo of what mine looked like.... 

rest assured that the Pinterest photos look a thousand times better than what mine would've looked like!

::panko breaded baked zucchini sticks::

I thought these were REALLY good.

I didn't follow the directions exactly..

I didn't salt the zucchini and let it sit to rid it of excess liquid

{or whatever the reason is for salting}

I also didn't make the dip.

It looks amazing though.

{I didn't have a food processor when I made this... but I do now... so? perhaps the dip is in my future!}

::Cauliflower Pancakes::

I thought these were really good!

I didn't use  cayenne pepper in mine, but I put it in Jerk Faces.

He liked these as well.

I topped with a little more cheese.

::Pumpkin Lust Pie::

This was pretty good.

VERY easy to make.

It uses a seasonal pumpkin spice pudding.

{Who knew they made seasonal pudding??}

::Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars::

Jerk Face liked these.

I just thought they were okay.

{maybe if I added more caramel??}

::Salted Caramel Shortbread::

You need a candy thermometer for these!

I was pretty disappointed with these.

Mine didn't look anything like the photo.

{Maybe because I didn't follow the directions, and I made the caramel too early, and had to re-melt it?}

My caramel to shortbread ratio was off.

It was more of a thin topping of caramel.

boo.

{And I couldn't find flaky salt anywhere...  

and by "anywhere," I mean that neither Kroger nor Meijer had it}

I fell in love with these burlap stockings:

They sell them on Etsy.

But?

I got a sewing machine for Christmas last year, and I'm training to be a contestant on Project Runway.

{Look for me in 2022}

So I decided to tackle this project and make them myself.

I used a red felt for the lining, and the leftover burlap from my Pinteresting Basket project.

Then, I just added some Christmas glitz:

Pinteresting Things I've Done

I am always on Pinterest looking for new things to try (funny.. I remember, not that long ago, when I thought Pinterest was stupid....).  Usually, they just stay pinned to my boards, and I don't think about them again... but these are the things that I have done:

 ~Hasselback Potatoes~

Mine didn't turn out as pretty:

They taste like fancy french fries.

..I would make them again.. but with fancy burgers..

~Bacon Avocado Grilled Cheese~

We used bacon instead of pepperoni (Jerk Face's choice), 

(and no tomatos)

we found it to be a bit bland.

It's a good idea, and we're going to be trying out different versions, I think...

~Macaroni and Goat Cheese~

Made this last night.

Very rich.

..and needs salt..

~Burlap Basket~

I saw this, and kind of loved it right away.

I saw (on Pinterest) where a person used a basket at the bottom of the stairs to collect the things that are to go back up the stairs.

*Genius*

(For some reason, I didn't pin it... perhaps because I could remember to do that without pinning it?)

I put my basket to use right away:

Made it myself.

I just don't get why they have to invade homes!
My mom told me that putting a dryer sheet in the window will keep them away.
Last year, my bedroom was swarming with them, and so I put one in the window.. I don't have any in my room... Guess I'll have to put one in every window...

Just when I thought my house was over it's high class and fancy ways...


Jerk Face came home with a cold last week.
I thought LB and I were going to successfully resist it.
unfortunately, LB fell to it's demise about Tuesday-ish, and now I'm getting it.

I don't know if you've noticed my lack of blogging lately...(I'm sure you haven't, you have many others to read... unless you're a member of my family, and this is the only blog you read....)but I have entered into the toddler arena.
LB is a-movin' and a-shakin'...and I don't have much time to blog anymore.T'is sad.::and::a bit ofwhat the friday?!
She was napping so well just a few weeks ago.I'd rock her to sleep (because I don't know how else to get her to sleep...)and lay her in her crib, and she would sleep for at least an hour.It was golden.But a few weeks ago,she wakes up every time I move!Meaning?She will only nap if I hold her!!!GGGAAAAHHHH!!!!!what the friday?!
Yesterday, I even crawled into her crib with her.It ALMOST worked...I'm going to try it again today.(I don't know how I'll be getting out... but that's an entirely different worry.)**What? I saw Kyle Richards do it with her 2 year old on Beverly Hills Housewives.**{what? don't you get parenting tips from the Housewives??}
Okay.I am open to advice.
(I have let her cry.. just doesn't seem to work. She gets even MORE worked up and doesn't nap at all.)**fyi- she falls asleep amazingly at night, I rock her to sleep, and when the bottle falls out of her mouth, I could Samba with her and she'd sleep through it!**fyi- I don't know how to Samba.

What The Friday?!

I have a hotmail account, which I consider my 'junkmail' account. It was my very first email account, and I've signed up for a lot of junk throughout the years.

I checked it the other day (which is a rare occurance..), 

and it told me that my account was hacked!

what the friday?!

A few days later, I signed onto my gmail account.

This is my account that I use everyday.

It alerted me that my account was trying to be accessed by someone in the Philippines!!

Two of my email accounts have been hacked in the last two weeks.

My backboard is gone.

DRAMATIZATION 

Jerk Face helped the Officer remove the backboard, and proceeded to tell him that I'm out and about telling anyone who will listen about this romantic cop and what he's doing for his girlfriend.
(I guess that's true...)

Jerk Face told the cop that he needs to cool it with this kind of stuff.

To which the Officer replied:

It's Sweetest Day, did you get your wife anything?

And, ladies? No. No he didn't.
BAM! Jerk Face. Minus 20 points.
(Only 20, because I didn't get him anything either..)

And since I wiki-wiki- pe'd Sweetest Day, I know that some of you might not know what it is..

P.S. "wiki-wiki-pe'd" is how the cool kids say 'wikipedia'. You have to do the record scratching motion along with it.  (fyi- I just made that up. I'm pretty amazing like that.)

I guess I got my new iPhone 4s for Sweetest Day.
I haven't got a new phone for about 6 years.
6 years!
I've been waiting patiently for the new iPhone.
not for the whole 6 years..
Let me just tell you, I love that Jerk Face is jealous of my phone.
I live for the times when I get the better gadget.
..this was a long wait..
He is most jealous of Siri.
Siri is a feature on the new version of the iPhone that is sort of like a concierge for your phone.
I didn't care too much about it, until I read this post, and realized just how awesome Siri is.
Jerk Face didn't even know!
I just started talking to and asking Siri questions:
